Economic shifts, environmental pressures, and evolving community needs demand fresh thinking. That’s why this election isn’t just about choosing leaders, it’s about choosing ideas. And the best ideas don’t come from one side alone. They come from respectful collaboration, from listening across differences, and from leaders who value every voice.
Serving with Honor and Purpose
Brenda raised her family here in Alexander and has spent her life giving back. After retiring from Attica Prison, she continues to serve through roles that reflect her deep appreciation for the community. As a member of the Alexander Cemetery Board, she helps preserve the dignity and history of our town’s past. As Co-Leader of the Fireman’s Band, she’s not only kept the music alive, she’s secured two grants to ensure it thrives, easing the financial burden and keeping the tradition strong for future generations. Her work has always centered on people, not politics. She believes that leadership means showing up, listening, and doing the hard work, even when no one’s watching.
Brenda believes that by doing what’s right she can help the community. She leads with empathy and holds a clear-eyed vision for a community built on shared responsibility. In every role she’s held, B has proven that true leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about trust.
Grounded in Faith, Trusted in Service
Colette has spent her entire life in Alexander, shaped by the values of hard work. Raised in a large local farming family, she learned early on that true leadership begins with rolling up your sleeves and showing up for others. While some may know her family members, those who know her personally know a woman of integrity, intelligence, and quiet strength. For years, she ran a successful business in Alden, balancing entrepreneurship with the demands of motherhood and civic duty. Her years with the Fire Department’s Auxiliary and her active role in church reflect a deep commitment to helping others. Today, she brings that same servant’s mindset to her work at the school.
Colette believes in the strength of this town and its people. Not just in what we have in common, but in how we respect our differences. She’s a woman of integrity, intelligence, and quiet determination, always focused on getting the job done and getting it done right.
New Energy for Alexander’s Future
Sarah grew up in Darien, where she learned that hard work and how you treat people matter more than titles. Inspired by her parents’ small business and unique local experiences like the Steam Show, she earned a degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and built a global career in business and technology. Known for solving tough problems with ease, Sarah has helped companies across the U.S. and Europe stay profitable and grow, yet she chooses to live in Alexander for the people, not the convenience. She’s active in book clubs, board game nights, and volunteers regularly because she believes in the strength of this community. Her commitment shows: she’s served multiple terms on the Town Zoning Board and attended nearly every board meeting this year. Sarah isn’t driven by politics, she’s driven by curiosity, care, and a desire to help. She believes leadership starts with listening, and that real progress comes from working together.
With her blend of business experience, tech-savvy insight, and dedication to the community, she brings a fresh perspective and a steady hand. She’s ready to work hard, learn from others, and help Alexander navigate challenges to come.
We believe in working respectfully with others, even when we don’t agree.
We want to bring in new ideas and skills that help our town stay strong.
We value people who show up, follow through, and get things done.
We care about what’s best for the town, not just what’s easiest or suits us.
We think listening to people in the community is our main responsibility.
Every local decision can have legal and financial consequences, and electing thoughtful leaders helps avoid costly mistakes.
When corners get cut, it’s the taxpayers who end up footing the bill.
For the first time in years, this election won’t be uncontested meaning voters finally have a say in who leads our town.
When leaders are proactive and ask the right questions, our town is better positioned to secure funding, resources, and smart investments that benefit everyone.
Small towns like Alexander need leaders who can work with state officials to make sure local voices are heard and community values are respected when statewide policies are made.
We’re not backed by big money or flashy campaigns; we’re backed by something far more powerful, the trust of our neighbors. We know that running as Democrats makes us the underdogs, but we believe that people in Alexander vote for people, not parties.
